The full story from Oksana:
In February of this year, my husband Nikita, our three children, and I arrived in Sacramento, hoping to start a new life here. But just over two weeks ago, one tragic accident completely turned our family's life upside down.
Nikita was involved in a serious accident on an electric scooter and suffered a severe traumatic brain injury. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition. To save his life and reduce the dangerous intracranial pressure, the doctors performed an emergency surgery — a craniotomy.
After the surgery, Nikita remains in the ICU in a coma. He is under constant medical supervision and requires support from medical equipment. Occasionally, there are small signs of consciousness returning, but his condition remains extremely serious.
Recently, Nikita underwent another brain surgery: the doctors removed accumulated fluid to reduce pressure and ease his condition. We continue to believe, pray, and hope that he will fight and gradually begin to recover.
Right now, I am the only one taking care of our three children, trying to be as close to Nikita in the hospital as possible while also managing all the household and financial issues of our family.
The monthly payment for the car, which we are paying in installments, has become an especially heavy burden. Right now, the car is vital for me: I use it to go to the hospital to see Nikita, drive the children, and handle urgent family matters. Losing the car would make our already difficult situation nearly hopeless.
I am trying to save and pay for everything I can on my own. But right now, Nikita cannot work, and all the responsibility for the children and the family has fallen on me alone.
We are asking for support to keep the car and cover the most essential family expenses during this difficult time. Any amount — even the smallest — will help us hold on while Nikita fights for his life.
If you cannot help financially, please share our story. That would also be a huge support.
Thank you to everyone who has not turned away, supported us, prayed for Nikita, or told others about our family. We sincerely believe that together we can get through this trial. 🙏
