Reviewed before it goes live.
Verified before it gets paid.
Every campaign passes an identity check, a content review and an AI analysis before it is published. Anything the review is unsure about goes to our team. Creators cannot withdraw money until Stripe has verified their identity and bank account.
Before a campaign goes live
Three checks, in this order.
- 01
Identity check
The creator needs a profile photo, a first and last name, a verified email address and a phone number on file.
- 02
Content review
The campaign is scanned automatically for enough detail in the story, a real title, a realistic goal, original content and a clear plan for the funds.
- 03
AI analysis
An AI reads the campaign for story quality, verifiable details, consistency and category fit. Most campaigns are approved instantly. If the AI is unsure, the campaign goes to our team, usually within 24 hours.
Before any money is paid out
Publishing and getting paid are separate steps.
To receive payouts, a creator connects Stripe. Stripe verifies their identity and their bank account, and that is required before they can withdraw funds. Donations made before that step is finished stay on hold and are not released to the creator.
What the green tick means
Shown next to the organizer's name on a campaign page.
The organizer confirmed their email address. It is not an identity check: Stripe verifies identity before any payout, as described above.
If you report a campaign
Use the Report link at the bottom of any campaign page. You need to be signed in with a verified email. Reports are confidential.
Step 1You report it
Pick a reason, such as fraud, misuse of funds or impersonation, and add any detail.
Within 1 hourWe acknowledge it
An automated email confirms receipt, if you left contact details.
Within 48 hoursA person reviews it
A human reviewer checks the report against our methodology. The campaign can be paused while they do.
Within 5 business daysYou get an outcome
If fraud is confirmed, we work to refund every affected donor. Unclear cases get a written decision.
Where your donation goes
An example with the tip the checkout suggests.
FundlyHub charges a 0% platform fee. What you pay at checkout includes an optional tip to FundlyHub: the checkout suggests 15%, and you can change it or set it to none. The rest is your donation, and it reaches the campaign minus the card processing fee.
- You pay
- $50.00
- Tip to FundlyHub (optional, 15% suggested)
- $7.50
- Card processing fee
- $1.75
- To the campaign
- $40.75
With no tip, $48.25 of the same $50.00 reaches the campaign. The checkout lists these amounts under "Where your money goes" before you pay.
Your card details
Your card details go straight to Stripe and never touch FundlyHub servers. Stripe is a PCI DSS Level 1 service provider. FundlyHub sees only the card brand and the last four digits.
