My name is Olga, and I have known Svetlana for more than 10 years. Throughout all these years, I have supported her and her children as much as I could- both financially and emotionally.

Svetlana is only 30 years old. She lives in Ukraine. She is an orphan who grew up in a boarding school. From childhood, she experienced loneliness, pain, and the feeling of being abandoned. At 16, she got married, dreaming of a simple, happy family. But life took a different path, and she eventually found herself raising her children alone.

Today, Svetlana is raising four children- ages 14, 10, 6, and 5. She is an incredible mother: kind, caring, and always ready to give her children the very last thing she has.

Unfortunately, Svetlana and her children live in a small village in Ukraine where there are very few job opportunities and limited opportunities for the children’s future. Every month is a struggle to afford food and pay for utilities. Recently, Svetlana has also faced health problems.

Now, I am working toward a goal: helping Svetlana and her four children purchase a home in the city and build a more stable life.

Why is moving to the city so important?

Our goal is not simply to move this family to the city. Our goal is to give Svetlana the opportunity to support her children herself and build a more secure future without depending on others.
