Our Family Is Asking for a Little Help During a Difficult Time 🙏

Dear friends and Greater Sacramento community,

It is not easy for us to write this post and ask for help, but our family is currently going through a very difficult financial season.

For the second month in a row, we have been struggling to cover our rent because of changes in my husband's employment. He had to leave his previous job, and it took some time to find and start a new one. During that transition, our family lost the steady income we depended on.

Last month, in order to pay our $1,635 rent, we had to take out a loan. We are now making monthly payments on that loan in addition to our regular expenses.

My husband has started working again, but because he is just beginning his new job, his income has not yet been enough to catch up on everything. The money he has earned has been going toward our most necessary expenses — bills, our car payment, loan payments, and basic family needs. Unfortunately, we simply do not have enough left to cover this month's rent.

My husband has now started another work assignment and is away from home again, working as a truck driver on a car hauler. We are hopeful that as his work becomes more stable, we will be able to get back on our feet. We truly believe this is a temporary season and that we will make it through.

Today, however, we are humbly asking our community for help with our rent. Any amount, no matter how small, would mean so much to our family. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser would also be a tremendous help.

We are a Christian family, and we believe that God will lead us through this difficult time. We also believe that very often God helps people through other people. We were created to support one another, especially when someone is going through a season they cannot handle alone.

We are incredibly grateful for every person who chooses to help, pray for us, or simply share our story. We believe that when we are back on our feet, we will have the opportunity to be there for another family who may need help just as we do today.
